In the fall of 2003 a small group of families began meeting in a living room to dream up a new kind of church for the Pacific Northwest. Barry Arnold’s vision was of a church where everyone served, gave generously, shared their faith, and was involved in the community. We had no money and no place to meet but we gave away our entire first offering of $14, 242 to an orphanage in Mexico and a Portland women’s shelter. In late November, we had our first service at Powell Valley Elementary School and and we’ve been there ever since. Barry is now retired but he and his wife, Vicki, are still involved in the church, which is now led by Pastor Dan Stump.
